ABOUT ME

Growing up as a Florida native, my background has always be intertwined with the environment. I believe it is nature and the outdoors that have inspired my creativity and my writing.

I graduated from Wiregrass Ranch High School in spring 2015 and began my undergraduate career at Florida State University the following fall. I entered college with my primary major as Biological Sciences but I felt something was missing. I knew I did not want to go to medical school but I had the desperate urge to share the amazing science I was learning. It was then that I added Editing, Writing, and Media as my double major to develop the skills I would need to accomplish my goals.

I believe everything is connected and acknowledging the intersectionality of our world will bring about more critical thinking—which our society desperately needs. My passion for protecting the environment and natural systems is what led me to biology and ecology and the voice in my writing is how I intend to educate people on sound science, facts surrounding current environmental issues, and encourage everyone to get excited that they can observe the natural world and not only participate in it but sustain it for future generations.
